January 2022 week 3

I trust the Good Orderly Direction in my life and I let it unfold.

“I believe that God's presence brings peace and that peace, like a quiet-flowing river, will cleanse all irritants away. In these quiet times, God will teach me how to rest my nerves. I will not be afraid. I will learn how to relax. When I am relaxed, God's strength will flow into me. I will be at peace.  I pray for that peace which passes all understanding.  I pray for that peace which the world can neither give nor take away.” Anonymous

Read that 5, 10, 20 times!!!  Our intention this month - “I trust the Good Orderly Direction in my life and I let it unfold.” And the Niyama this month; Ishvara Pradihana or surrender to the Divine are tools to peace!!!!  I certainly pray for that “peace which passes all understanding, the peace that the world can neither give nor take away.”  Have you done the meditation this month? It is a unique mediation that is said to calm our mind - all of this leads us to the peace which is on the other side of letting go and surrendering.  It makes such perfect sense, yet it is soooo hard?  Why is that?  Well I believe it is simply because we are human and life around us effects us - its normal!!! This is why I feel so strongly about seeking spiritual tools to help me find the peace I seek.  Left to my own devices, my mind is busy, scattered and full of self centered, self serving thoughts.  Every day I need to connect with my spiritual self in the morning, during the day and at the end of the day before bed.  It takes effort, but it is certainly worth it.  What are you doing to connect with your Divine so you can trust, let go and surrender?  There you will find peace!
