As I said last week, it’s important to honor your feelings and your thoughts inside your head - a trouble shared is halved and a joy shared is doubled!! This pandemic is certainly dragging its feet and life is still full of anxious uncertainties for many of us. In addition, the holidays are coming quick and I think it will be helpful to keep in mind that we are all perfectly, imperfect and trying to do the best we can. Let's let go of expectations of what the holidays are going to look like this year and make the most of what is in front of us.
Did you make time last week for any quiet moments of self reflection and self study? As I have said, the asanas (physical poses) are only 1 limb of the 8 limbs of yoga. The first limb is made up of the Yamas and the Niyamas, simply put they are moral codes of how we treat ourselves and others. One of the niyamas is "Svadhyaya: self-study, inner exploration”. Self-study is the gift of awareness you can give yourself. The intention this month will support you if you do a little work “I celebrate my progress. Awareness not perfection is the goal” - Gabby Bernstein. Take a moment this week to write out your “imperfections” as well as the sources of strength and joy in your life. Then with humility as your guide, honor your perfectly, imperfect self so life will feel lighter and you can rest more fully in the joys and light of the coming holidays!

Also if you have a group of young adults who would like a stress and anxiety mini workshop, please send me an email. I have a lot of empathy for this age group right now, their life is not as it should be and that is very stressful at their age, lots of life pivots and acceptance!!!!!
