September 2025 Week 3

I choose to have people around me who add to my peace

I had a plan to write about this weeks meditation and the tie in the Sutra of the month, but I am postponing that a week because as life would sync up for us I received an email from Jay Shetty (not personal although that would be amazing, its his weekly email to subscribers lol) and the heading was - “Peace isn’t found, it’s made inside of you”. Now this totally ties into the Sutra and my meditation however this writing would be way way too long and you would stop reading so you will have to come back next week lol.
He said “The pain outside is because of the pain inside.” And asked a few questions that rang true:
Do you get into arguments and fights when you’re feeling peaceful or not peaceful?
Do you create challenges for yourself and others when you’re feeling peaceful or not peaceful?
Do you cause problems when you’re feeling a lot of pain, or when you’re pain-free?
The pain out there is all the result of pain inside.

This certainly gives my intention more mojo in my heart, I truly need to surround myself with people who add to my peace, but I also need to make sure I am doing my part as well to nurture my own inner peace. This once again leads me to emphasize the importance of a morning routine to help create a peaceful life. Do you start your day looking at your phone and watching the news? This will absolutely spike your stress! Can you use this week to create a morning routine that helps you create inner peace?

Here is mine:
Warm lemon water to start my day and organic detox tea.
If the weather is warm enough, even with a big blanket I take my tea outside to see the ocean and spend roughly 30 minutes reading daily devotionals, journaling and then meditating.
I often go to the beach for the sunrise. And finally I get fresh air and sunlight with a short walk to the beach with my dog.

Have fun creating your own!
