October 2025 Week 1

Pray, Trust, Wait

Welcome to October and some beautiful fall feeling days. Getting right to it…Our intention this month is - “Pray, Trust, Wait.” This puts us into action - prayer, then leaning into your prayers - trusting and finally the pause - wait. A few months back we had the intention - Pause what a pleasure - there is grace and gifts in pausing. Another reminder for this month - WAIT - Why Am I Talking!!!
Lets break it down:
Prayer - As always I encourage all of us to have a daily sadhana practice which is simply a personal, daily practice of yoga, meditation, prayer, journaling, or any other routine that helps us connect with our higher source and our higher self. Do you have a commitment to yourself in this way? How about finding a place to see the sunrise or the sunset?
Trust - This is the tricky part. How do we strengthen our trust? I think trust is strengthened over time with repetition to build up spiritual reference. For me I have noticed my trust increasing by praying more, committing to my daily practice and then trying something new…waiting instead of speaking, acting or letting my mind run away from me. This brings us to part 3 of our intention-
Wait - easier said than done for sure. How can you restrain from acting, speaking or over thinking? As I said above this has become a bit more doable because I have been practicing pausing and being quiet. I have the most amazing example of this recently when a situation came up that brought up such feelings of disappointment, confusion and hurt. I consciously told myself - you get a do over here - do it differently. Don’t take an action, don’t say anything, however I can’t say I didn’t over think it - but still progress lol. Within a few weeks prayers were answered and resolution happened. I am so grateful I waited and trusted and prayed because the outcome would not have been possible if I had gotten in the middle!
Is there a situation in your life right now that calls for you to wait? If so how can you do this? As always, everyone is different, but we are all the same in that we all need to do the daily work. Its always worth it.
