November Week 1
Keep A Light Heart
November, daylight savings time and colder, shorter days!! How is that for you? I for one love to lean into the slower pace, shorter days that give me the green light to shut down early each day and be still. However, I understand I am probably in the minority of feeling this way, especially if you have a job where you leave your house in the the dark and arrive home in the dark. How are you feeling during this autumn time of transition? I hope our intention can help you - Keep a light heart.
This month our intention is to practice yoga with a light heart and to practice living with a light heart.
Light, meaning unburdened — letting go of anything we don’t need to carry right now.
And light, meaning bright and open — allowing ease, curiosity, and maybe even a bit of joy.
As I prompted in class this week, this month if you notice tension in your body, see if you can soften just a little. If you notice heaviness in the mind, allow the breath to create space around it.
We don’t have to force anything to change.
Simply give yourself permission to feel a little lighter — inside and out.
If you are cleansing with me next week, know that we will be submerged in this dharma for our time together!!
Let the breath be gentle.
Let the face soften.
Let the heart shine."
“Let the heart be spacious.
Release what you don’t need to carry.
Allow the light inside you to grow —
gentle, warm, steady.”
“As you move through your day, notice moments where you can choose ease, space, and warmth.
Keep a light heart — unburdened, open, and bright.”
“At the end of each day or each yoga session, notice how your body, mind, and heart feel when you allow lightness in — when you let things be just a little easier. Feel this lightness on and off the mat.”
