May 2026 Week 3
We Are What We Repeatedly Do
In class and during meditation this week we did a little spring cleaning to “clear the clutter and create the current”.
We listened to Om Namo Guru Dev Namo (I sent a link to this mantra) which means: I bow to the Creative Wisdom, I bow to the Divine Teacher within.
So here was my thought process:
First, we started with this above mantra to get connected with our inner wisdom, our inner guide.
Then, with this meditation and with our grounded yoga practice and compassion for ourselves we looked to see if there is any area of our lives that we are accumulating? Accumulating stuff, food, emotions, projections, worries, ruminations…..
Next, we twisted out those accumulations that are not serving us and making us feel heavy.
From this clearer place with an open current of energy we were given the space to think about what do we want to put on repeat in our days? Lining up with our intention this month - We Are What We Repeatedly do.
Our lives are shaped by what we return to daily, the small things we repeat quietly become who we are. Our habits are also creating nervous system pathways and energetic grooves. What do you want to feel? How and who do you want to be?
I really feel like this is a great time of transition from the heaviness of winter and the expansion and excitement of summer. In yoga and Ayurveda, stagnation accumulates in body, mind, home, and habits during winter. Spring invites release. Summer asks for lightness.
Winter can leave us stagnant or overloaded.
Spring asks:
What patterns are worth keeping?
What habits are crowding our energy?
What rituals create lightness?
We can use this time to get grounded and connected to our inner wisdom, clear up the accumulated gunk and then go forward with intentional choices and embrace the JOY!
