Welcome to July and summer!!! Did last month’s intention - “I Choose……” - serve you? It certainly helped me start to get grounded and intentional about myself and my summer. Monday’s Strawberry Moon was a great way to end June and start July - just perfect!

I want to share a quick ritual for the moon rise which can be done this week as the energy of the full moon lingers for a few days.

The Strawberry moon this month is not called strawberry because of its deep red hue, but for the long awaited harvest of strawberries coming out now. There is no forcing of the cycle of the growth of a strawberry so let’s not force our ritual, but use it to choose what we want to grow in us.

Find a quiet place outdoors if possible, or simply sit where you can breathe without interruption.

Close your eyes and take a slow inhale.

Exhale completely.

Allow your shoulders to soften and your jaw to relax.

Place one hand on your heart and one on your belly.

Ask yourself three questions:

What do I want to cultivate this summer?

What is asking to be harvested—ready to be enjoyed, shared, or celebrated?

What no longer deserves my time or energy?

Take a few moments to let the answers arise without forcing them.

Now choose one word that you want to guide your summer.

Perhaps it is:
Peace.
Joy.
Presence.
Adventure.
Courage.
Rest.
Connection.
Trust.
Freedom.
Gratitude.

Silently repeat:

"I choose to live this summer with ______.”

On your next exhale, imagine planting that intention like a strawberry seed in rich soil. You don't have to make it grow. You simply commit to watering it each day through your choices.

If you have paper nearby, write down one action that aligns with your intention. Keep it simple and doable.

As you close, place your hands in prayer at your heart and offer this blessing:

"May I choose what nourishes my body, my mind, and my spirit. May I have the wisdom to release what no longer serves me. Like fruit ripening in its own perfect season, may I trust the unfolding of my life."

Take one final deep breath.

Carry your intention into the days ahead, remembering that your life is shaped not by one grand decision, but by the small, loving choices you make each day. And lets parlay this into this month’s intention:

I am Living from the Inside Out. More on this next week!
