July 2021, Week 1
I am that, I am
“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma -- which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary." Steve Jobs
This month we are at the 6th Chakra, ajna. The element is light. So now we have traveled from Earth, water, fire, air, sound and now light.
Here is a good overview of the 6th chakra:
The Sanskrit name means both "the perception center" and "the command center." is located between and just above the physical eyes, creating the spiritual third eye. While our two eyes see the material world, our sixth chakra sees beyond the physical. This is vision, intuition, insight, dreaming, imagination, and visualization. It is here that we can manifest our lives, if we don’t let our thoughts be drowned out by outside forces. It’s a very subtle energy and our center for insight. It is the sight that you receive when your mind is calm and quiet. That is a special place!
When our intuition is blocked, we often limit ourselves and our abilities. We second-guess our value and sense of self-worth. By opening ourselves up to our inner knowing, we are able to see the signs and symbols that show up along the way, guiding us toward our purpose and shedding light on the limiting beliefs and the voice of the ego that block us from clarity and influence our decisions.
Everyone is intuitive—it’s just a matter of finding the confidence to trust it. Honing intuition is going beyond the literal, the logical, our normal perception. Intuition is a feeling of being drawn to something that is in our best interest even when our conscious mind wants to resist it.
The shadow emotion is confusion, doubt.
Organ/parts of body associated with the 6th chakra:
Pituitary gland, eyes, head, lower brain. The pituitary gland regulates the entire body, secretes and regulates serotonin, beta endorphins in the blood stream and human growth hormone.
We will dive deeper next week, but for now let all of this settle with you and think about how it can serve you this month.
Write out your 6 chakra statements for yourself and keep them nearby so you can repeat them as often as you need to! These chakras are a wonderful tool to bring us back to our true selves - simple but not easy.
