February 2026 Week 1
What We Focus on We Become
Welcome to a cold and snowy February here in the Northeast. How are you handling this? Like everything in life we can accept and embrace or resist and suffer lol. I saw a definition of suffering recently - suffering is desperately wanting things to be other than they are. So right here in February things are cold and snowy. Personally I can’t get enough of it! Snow shoeing, cross country skiing, bluebird skies, walking the beach where the snow blew away, spectacular sunrises, sunsets, of course ocean dips and after these busy days - early into my pjs. That is heavenly for me and I truly believe there is a reason for this season and for me it helps me shut down earlier with the dark and rest a bit.
Our intention this month is: What We Focus on We Become. This was great for this week of the cleanse as we all made some shifts in our habits and focused on our health and wellness leading us to our ultimate health and wellness.
What are you focusing on right now? Is it something that is lifting you up and serving you or burdening you and holding you back?
Use the energy which is around for another day of the snow moon from earlier in the week.
The snow moon symbolizes:
Endurance & survival – staying steady through the next stretch of winter.
Inner strength – conserving energy rather than pushing. Resting and restoring.
Purification – snow as a cleanser; emotional and mental clearing.
Patience – trusting that spring is forming beneath the surface.
This can also pertain to a “season” in your internal world. For example, It could be summer but you are in the midst of losing someone you love, fearful projections, illness etc. This would be a “wintering” season in your life.
Where are you right now? Internally and externally in relation to winter and this snow moon energy. Can you use the snow moon to journal.
How about the ritual I wrote about last week, did you do it or can you do it this week:
1st, light a candle to symbolize our inner fire remaining bright even in the cold.
2nd, Write down - what you are ready to let go of - self doubt, draining habits, indulgences in sweets, alcohol etc - and safely burn or tear up the paper to signify its release.
Stay strong and hearty and enjoy the winter!
