April 2025 Week 1

I am as peaceful as i want to be today. Nothing that happens has to interfere with this

Today our trip is coming to an end and fitting I guess as we tour our last area of Ohio while there is a crazy hail storm going on outside. I truly am sad our cross country adventure has ended, and I am asking myself have I been present enough, seen enough, been grateful enough? Wow I sure do feel like yes. Today started my intention for April in class: “I am as peaceful as i want to be today. Nothing that happens has to interfere with this.” I want to take this intention home with me as I reenter into my day to day life. Here’s the thing, I love my life where I live so I just need to get back there and through the emotional and physical reentry and then settle in and embrace another month or 2 of a little bit quieter environment. I am excited to see my friends, my family and jump into my activities of dipping, walking by the beach, teaching and taking yoga classes, swimming, playing golf and working out. Back to my off season “resort living”! The good news is that I have also managed to stay on track with many of my habits during this trip. I continued to take my supplements, started my day with water and some type of herbal tea instead of my warm lemon water. I prioritized gluten free grains, protein, nuts, fiber and greens. In addition, I was diligent in starting my day with fresh air and quiet prayer and meditation. I also journaled the entire trip! These healthy habits have helped me feel energized and grounded. 6 weeks living out of the back of a Bronco with my husband and a dog can be a little unsettling but truly we all (Hurley too lol) leaned into it and enjoyed every part of this epic journey. I am so grateful to have had the Calm Crew travel with me and keeping me on track.
How is your level of peace today? Is it conditional on anything or anyone? Can you use this month to reinforcing the importance of your habits that bring you back to your midline? This is how we live in the space of peace, no matter what.
